aptain's Log, the eighth day of July, the year 1602 A.D.
The King had said an island chain rich in gold had been discovered. Our enemies were trying to colonize the area, but the presence of many vicious natives were making the task difficult. My assignment is to conquer and defeat any enemy that may challenge us, and stake claim to the gold in the name of the throne. As a precaution, I sent a small detachment of army troops on ahead to prepare a secure harbor for me to drop anchor and start a settlement. Since then only one messenger has returned. He said "the fighting is intense and the enemy seems to be everywhere, very aggressive,and ruthless". The army troops are hopelessly trapped in the forest. It is with great caution that I now approach land.....
